The Baltimore Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School is part of an international education movement dedicated to the idea that people are capable of far more than they know. Our leadership programs and character curriculum empower individuals in local schools, community organizations, and the police department to effect positive change in Baltimore.

Instructors are the heart and soul of our organization. Whether leading military veterans on wilderness expeditions, working to influence positive relationships between police officers and youth, or creating a sense of adventure in the classroom, Outward Bound instructors create supportive environments in which participants are challenged to discover their potential.

The Instructor Apprenticeship is a ten week training program for prospective instructors. The apprenticeship is rooted in the same values we teach our students: compassion, excellence, integrity, inclusion and diversity. Apprentices develop the skills and heart required to build a better Baltimore; those passionate for exploration and education should apply.
